Responsible Gaming at jitaw
jitaw is committed to providing a safe, fair, and enjoyable betting environment for every player in Bangladesh. Our responsible gaming tools empower you to stay in control — every session, every day.
Six Pillars of Responsible Gaming at jitaw
Every feature below is available to all registered players at no cost. Your wellbeing is more important to us than any single bet placed on our platform.
Self-Exclusion
Request a temporary or permanent self-exclusion at any time by contacting our support team. During an exclusion period, your account is locked and you cannot register a new account under the same identity.
Deposit Limits
Set a daily, weekly, or monthly deposit cap in Bangladeshi Taka (৳) to keep your spending within a budget you are comfortable with. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately; increasing one requires a 7-day cooling-off period.
Session Time Limits
Define a maximum session duration so that jitaw automatically reminds you when your pre-set playing time has elapsed. This helps prevent extended, unplanned gaming sessions that can lead to overspending.
Cooling-Off / Time-Out
Take a short break from gambling with a time-out period of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Your account is temporarily frozen during this window, and no deposits or bets are accepted until the period expires.
Reality Check Alerts
Enable periodic on-screen notifications that show you how long you have been playing, how much you have deposited, and your net win/loss position during the current session — keeping facts front of mind.
24/7 Player Support
Our dedicated support team is available around the clock via live chat and email. If you feel gambling is becoming a problem — for you or someone you know — reach out immediately at [email protected].
Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming
At jitaw, responsible gaming is not a box to check — it is a core value embedded in how we build and operate our platform for players across Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barisal, Rangpur, and Mymensingh. We believe that gambling, when approached with awareness and clear limits, is a legitimate form of entertainment. Our role is to ensure it stays that way.
jitaw operates on the principle that every player deserves access to accurate information, effective tools, and a support network that allows them to make informed decisions about their gambling behaviour. We invest heavily in our responsible gaming infrastructure because we understand the real harm that problem gambling can cause to individuals, families, and communities in Bangladesh.
This page describes the full range of tools and resources available to jitaw players, explains how to recognise the warning signs of problem gambling, and provides guidance on where to seek help. We encourage all players to read this page carefully and to reach out to our support team at any time — without judgment — if they have concerns about their gambling habits.
Gambling should always be viewed as a paid entertainment activity — similar to going to the cinema or attending a cricket match at Mirpur. The money you spend on gambling should be money you can genuinely afford to lose. It should never be money set aside for rent, groceries, school fees, or family obligations. If you find yourself gambling with money you cannot afford to lose, please use the tools on this page immediately.
Age Restriction — 18+ Only
jitaw enforces a strict minimum age policy. Only individuals who are 18 years of age or older are permitted to register an account, make deposits, place bets, or claim bonuses on the jitaw platform. This policy applies without exception to all players in Bangladesh.
How We Verify Age
During the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process, all players are required to submit a valid government-issued identity document. Accepted documents for Bangladeshi players include:
- National Identity Card (NID)
- Valid Bangladeshi passport
- Driver's licence issued by BRTA
- Birth registration certificate (for supplementary verification)
The date of birth on the submitted document is checked against the date provided during registration. Any discrepancy will result in the account being placed on hold pending manual review. Accounts confirmed to belong to persons under 18 will be permanently closed and all deposited funds will be returned to the original payment method (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, or card) within 7 working days.
Protecting Young People in Your Household
If you share a device or computer with young people, we strongly recommend taking the following steps to prevent underage access to jitaw and other gambling platforms:
- Never save your jitaw login credentials in a shared browser.
- Enable parental control software on shared devices (for example, Net Nanny, Qustodio, or the built-in parental controls available on Android and iOS).
- Always log out of your jitaw account when you finish a session on a shared device.
- Keep your jitaw account password private and do not share it with anyone, including family members.
- Install filtering software that blocks access to gambling sites for minors, such as GamCare's Gamban or similar tools available in Bangladesh.
Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling develops gradually and can be difficult to identify from the inside. Many players who develop unhealthy gambling patterns do not realise it until the financial or emotional damage is already significant. jitaw encourages all players to periodically review their gambling behaviour against the warning signs listed below.
Self-Assessment: Warning Signs to Watch For
Ask yourself honestly whether any of the following statements apply to you:
Problem Gambling Self-Assessment Checklist
Behavioural Warning Signs in Others
If you are concerned about a friend or family member, the table below outlines common behavioural patterns associated with problem gambling that you may observe from the outside:
| Area of Life | Warning Signs to Look For |
|---|---|
| Financial | Unexplained debt, borrowing money frequently, selling possessions, unpaid bills despite regular income, secretive about bank transactions via bKash or Nagad |
| Emotional | Mood swings tied to wins and losses, irritability when unable to access devices, anxiety, depression, feelings of shame or guilt after gambling sessions |
| Social | Withdrawing from family gatherings (Eid dinners, Durga Puja celebrations), missing social commitments, secretive phone use, staying up late to gamble |
| Work / Studies | Reduced productivity, unexplained absences, loss of interest in career goals, declining academic performance in students |
| Relationship | Frequent arguments about money, dishonesty about whereabouts or spending, loss of trust within the household |
Responsible Gaming Tools Available at jitaw
jitaw provides a comprehensive suite of responsible gaming tools that all players can access at any time, free of charge. These tools are designed to give you meaningful control over your gambling behaviour without requiring you to close your account entirely.
Deposit Limit Tool
Cap the total amount you can deposit into your jitaw account over a chosen time period (daily / weekly / monthly) in Bangladeshi Taka (৳). Any deposit attempt that would exceed your set limit will be automatically declined.
Session Time Limit
Set a maximum duration per gaming session. When the timer runs out, jitaw will display a prominent alert reminding you of the time elapsed and giving you the option to end the session immediately.
Loss Limit Tool
Define a maximum net loss threshold per day, week, or month. Once your losses reach the set limit, jitaw will prevent further bets or deposits until the limit period resets or you adjust the limit downward.
Reality Check Notifications
Receive periodic pop-up reminders showing your session duration, deposit total, and net win/loss position. Intervals can be set to every 30, 60, or 90 minutes to keep your awareness sharp.
Cooling-Off Period
Take a structured break of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Your account is locked for the full duration and no deposits, bets, or bonus activations are permitted. The cooling-off begins immediately upon request.
Account Closure
If you wish to stop using jitaw permanently, you can request a full account closure via [email protected]. Any remaining balance will be returned to your registered bKash or Nagad account within 5 working days.
Important Note on Limit Changes: jitaw applies a deliberate asymmetry to limit adjustments to protect players in moments of impulse. Reducing a limit — for example, lowering your weekly deposit cap from ৳10,000 to ৳5,000 — takes effect immediately with no waiting period. Increasing a limit — for example, raising your weekly cap from ৳5,000 to ৳10,000 — is subject to a mandatory 7-day cooling-off period before the new, higher limit comes into force. This gives you time to reconsider the decision with a clear head.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is the most powerful responsible gaming tool available at jitaw. It allows a player to voluntarily remove themselves from the platform for an extended period — or permanently — when they feel they are no longer able to gamble in a healthy, controlled manner.
How Self-Exclusion Works at jitaw
- Self-exclusion can be requested for periods of 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years, or it can be made permanent (indefinite).
- Once a self-exclusion is active, your account is immediately locked. You will not be able to log in, deposit, withdraw, or place bets during the exclusion period.
- jitaw will permanently delete your marketing profile and remove you from all promotional mailing lists and SMS campaigns the moment self-exclusion is confirmed.
- Any funds remaining in your account at the time of self-exclusion will be withdrawn to your registered bKash or Nagad account within 5 working days.
- If you attempt to register a new jitaw account during your self-exclusion period using the same NID, phone number, or email address, that registration will be automatically declined.
How to Request Self-Exclusion
To activate self-exclusion on your jitaw account, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request". Include your registered account email address, your preferred exclusion duration, and a brief confirmation that you are requesting this voluntarily. Our team will activate the exclusion within 1 hour of receiving your request and send you a written confirmation.
Third-Party Self-Exclusion
If you are a family member or guardian of a person you believe has a gambling problem, you may contact jitaw support on their behalf to report the concern. While jitaw cannot enforce a self-exclusion on a third party's account without the account holder's identity verification, we can flag the account for enhanced monitoring and provide guidance on what steps can be taken within Bangladeshi law to support someone in a gambling crisis.
Deposit & Time Limits
Deposit limits and session time limits are the two most commonly used responsible gaming tools at jitaw. They are especially effective for players who enjoy gambling but want a practical mechanism to prevent overspending without having to stop playing entirely.
Deposit Limits
You can set a hard cap on the total amount you deposit into your jitaw wallet over any of the following time frames:
- Daily limit: Maximum total deposits allowed within a single calendar day (Bangladesh Standard Time, UTC+6).
- Weekly limit: Maximum total deposits allowed from Monday 00:00 BST to Sunday 23:59 BST.
- Monthly limit: Maximum total deposits allowed within a calendar month.
Deposit limits apply across all payment methods — bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, Dutch-Bangla Bank, City Bank, BRAC Bank, Islami Bank, Sonali Bank, Visa, and Mastercard. There is no way to bypass a deposit limit by switching payment methods.
Session Time Limits
A session time limit defines the maximum amount of time you are permitted to remain actively logged in and playing in a single session. When your session limit is reached, jitaw will display a full-screen alert showing your session statistics and prompting you to either end the session or dismiss the alert (if you have not enabled a hard stop). You can configure the limit to be either a soft reminder or a hard cut-off that logs you out automatically.
Loss Limits
A loss limit restricts the total net loss you can incur within a defined period. Once the loss threshold is reached, further bets are blocked until the period resets. This is particularly useful during high-variance games such as slots or live casino roulette, where a single session can result in rapid losses.
To view your current limits, check your spending history, or update your limits, contact the jitaw support team at [email protected]. Remember: reductions are instant, increases require a 7-day waiting period.
Support & Resources
If you believe gambling is becoming a problem for you or someone you care about, reaching out for help is the most important step you can take. jitaw's support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and all conversations about responsible gaming are handled with complete confidentiality and zero judgment.

Professional Counselling & External Resources
jitaw encourages players who are experiencing gambling-related difficulties to seek professional support in addition to using our built-in tools. While Bangladesh does not yet have a nationwide gambling helpline equivalent to those found in Europe or Australia, the following types of support are available:
- National Mental Health Helpline (Kaan Pete Roi): A Bangladesh-based emotional support helpline offering free, confidential counselling for individuals experiencing psychological distress, including addiction-related concerns. Calls are free from most Bangladeshi mobile networks.
- Gamblers Anonymous: An international peer-support fellowship with an active online community accessible to Bangladeshi players. Meetings are conducted in English and Bengali. Visit the GA international website for meeting schedules — jitaw does not link externally, so please search directly.
- GamCare (International): GamCare offers free online chat counselling and structured support programmes for problem gamblers worldwide, including players in Bangladesh. Their resources are available in English.
- Local mental health professionals: Psychiatrists and psychologists based in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, and other major Bangladeshi cities are increasingly aware of gambling addiction as a clinical condition. If you have a regular doctor or healthcare provider, ask them for a referral to an addiction specialist.
- Family and community support: In the Bangladeshi context, community leaders, mosque imams, and family elders can play a constructive role in supporting someone with a gambling problem. Do not underestimate the value of honest conversations with trusted people in your life.
Blocking Software
In addition to jitaw's own self-exclusion tool, you can use third-party gambling-blocking software on your devices to create an additional layer of protection. Tools such as Gamban, BetBlocker, and Betfilter are designed to block access to online gambling platforms across all browsers and apps on your device. These tools are particularly useful during a self-exclusion period when you want to remove the temptation of accessing other gambling sites beyond jitaw.
Protecting Minors
jitaw takes the protection of children and young people extremely seriously. No person under the age of 18 is permitted to use the jitaw platform under any circumstances. Our age verification procedures are designed to be robust, but we also rely on responsible adults to take active steps to ensure that minors in their households cannot access gambling platforms.
Steps Adults Can Take to Protect Minors
- Never allow a minor to use your jitaw account, even for non-gambling purposes such as watching live sports streams.
- Set up separate, password-protected user profiles on shared computers and mobile devices. Do not allow children to use the same profile you use to access jitaw.
- Install parental control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio, or Google Family Link to block gambling-related websites and apps at the network or device level.
- Have open, age-appropriate conversations with children and teenagers about gambling — explaining that it is an adult activity with real financial risk — to build awareness and reduce curiosity-driven access attempts.
- Be mindful of leaving devices unattended and unlocked in areas where children are present, particularly during major cricket events like the BPL or T20 World Cup when gambling activity typically increases.
Reporting Suspected Underage Gambling
If you have reason to believe that a minor is accessing jitaw — whether through their own account or by misusing an adult's account — please report this to us immediately at [email protected] with the subject line "Underage Access Report". We will investigate all such reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include account suspension, enhanced verification requirements, and notification to the relevant account holder.
